Registration Requirements

Company Name: The company name must end with "SDN.BHD." or "Sendirian Berhad," cannot be the same as or similar to a registered company name, cannot contain sensitive words, and must be approved by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).

Registered Capital: The minimum registered capital for a private limited company is RM1, with a recommended registered capital of RM1,000 or more. Shareholders and Directors: At least one shareholder and one director are required. The shareholder and director can be the same person. The shareholder can be an individual or a company, and the director must have a Malaysian address.
Scope of Business: The company's main business scope must be clearly defined, as this is related to subsequent registration applications, taxation, and licensing.

Company Secretary: A local company secretary qualified under the Companies Act 2016 must be appointed within 30 days of registration.

Registered Address: The company must have a valid registered address in Malaysia to house all legal documents and books.

Registration Process

Determine your company name: Submit a company name application to the SSM (Social Services and Registration Authority). This process typically takes 1-3 business days. Ensure the name is unique and compliant with regulations.

Prepare registration documents: These include the Articles of Association, Form 9 (Company Registration Application), director and shareholder information, proof of registered address, etc. Identification documents for directors and shareholders are also required, such as passport copies and proof of address. 🌍🏖
